Real-time KPI dashboard for a distribution company

Results

Decision-making speed +70%
Anomalies detected in real time
5 hours/week saved on reporting

The challenge

Key business metrics scattered across spreadsheets and different software, making it impossible to spot problems before they escalated

The solution

Centralized real-time dashboard pulling data from multiple sources with automated anomaly alerts

The context

A distribution company in Treviso with over 50 employees was tracking performance across Excel spreadsheets, their ERP system, and a handful of other tools. Every Monday, a manager spent half the morning compiling a weekly report by copying numbers from five different sources.

The challenge

By the time anyone saw the data, it was already days old. Delivery delays, stock shortages, and margin drops were only caught after the damage was done. The company needed a way to see what was happening right now, not what happened last week.

The solution

We built a centralized KPI dashboard that aggregates data from all the company's key systems:

  • Real-time data feeds from the ERP, warehouse system, and logistics platform
  • Visual KPI panels covering revenue, margins, delivery times, and stock levels
  • Automated anomaly detection that flags unusual patterns immediately
  • Email and push alerts when a metric crosses a critical threshold
  • Historical trends with comparison to previous periods and targets
  • Role-based views so each team sees the metrics most relevant to them

The results

The management team now makes decisions based on data that's minutes old, not days. The Monday reporting ritual was eliminated entirely, saving five hours per week. More importantly, the company catches problems — like a sudden spike in delivery delays or a margin drop on a product line — as they happen, not after the fact.
